Colliers International represents South Carolina Pediatric Alliance in selecting site for new Newborn Wellness and Breast Feeding Center of the Midlands

Land purchased at 3618 Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia will be used for new facility to open in Summer 2017

South Carolina Pediatric Alliance, a merger of Palmetto Pediatric and Sandhills Pediatric, recently purchased approximately 1.54 acres of land at 2618 Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia, SC. The Alliance has announced that the land will be used for the new Newborn Wellness and Breast Feeding Center of the Midlands, which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2017. Colliers International South Carolina’s Craig Waites and Braxton Taylor represented the South Carolina Pediatric Alliance in selecting a site.

“As Colliers noted in our most recent Columbia Medical Office Market Report, with the Midlands’ explosive population growth in the past five years or so, healthcare providers are looking for more ways to serve the community efficiently at a reduced cost,” said Colliers International South Carolina’s Director of Healthcare Services, William Beaman. “Specialized facilities like the Newborn Wellness and Breast Feeding Center of the Midlands are an effective way to meet specific needs of the community, and we are thrilled that Colliers could assist in selecting the right site for the facility.”

As a merger of Palmetto Pediatric and Sandhills Pediatric, the South Carolina Pediatric Alliance brings together two high quality pediatric practices in order to gain efficiencies of scale, reduce costs, and improve care delivery. Both practice operate under their current names. Each of the individual practices within the South Carolina Pediatric Alliance will be separate “care centers.”

Waites, a Vice President with Colliers South Carolina, is the Director of the Commercial Brokerage Team. Taylor, a Brokerage Associate, is a member of that team, which focuses on the sale and leasing of commercial land and properties.
