Colliers Keenan Plays Key Role in Bringing Performance Food Group to Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC – November 1, 2007 – Colliers Keenan has played a key role in a deal that will bring Performance Food Group Company, a Fortune 500 company, to the Columbia area. PFG evaluated several potential locations throughout the Southeast before selecting 3245 Platt Springs Road in Springdale, South Carolina as the site of a new shared services center.
The coordinated efforts of Beronica Whisnant and Henry Roe of Colliers Keenan, the Central SC Alliance and the South Carolina Department of Commerce, among many others, were essential in PFG’s decision. The announcement represents a continuing trend of national companies moving into the area.
Expected to bring over 100 jobs to the area initially, the facility will be the central location for select financial support functions and is slated to be operational by the first half of 2008. PFG will be the newest addition to the Airport Technologies Buildings, which through the efforts of owner Charles Small, president of Diversified Development, to bring new tenants to the area, are now home to over 1500 new jobs.
