Law firm hires Horry County bar leader; names new managing shareholder
Attorney Fred H. Oliver has joined Collins & Lacy as a shareholder in Myrtle Beach. He is the immediate past president of the Horry County Bar Association.
Fred Oliver has substantial experience defending clients against claims involving professional and premises liability, general liability, trucking accidents, community associations, and construction defects. He also defends professionals in matters related to licensing and regulations.
“Fred’s leadership within the bar and wide range of experience will be a tremendous asset to Collins & Lacy,” said firm president Chris Adams. “He is a talented attorney and his desire to deliver on client service benefits the businesses and individuals we serve in the growing coastal communities of the state and beyond.”
Oliver earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the Charleston School of Law. Prior to joining Collins & Lacy, he worked at a large regional insurance defense firm.
In conjunction with Oliver’s arrival, Collins & Lacy announces Amy Neuschafer is now the managing shareholder for the firm’s Myrtle Beach office. She joined the law firm in 2007 after working as a staff attorney for the South Carolina Supreme Court and was elected as a shareholder in 2016.
These changes at Collins & Lacy’s office in Myrtle Beach come after former senior shareholder, Will Bryan, accepted an offer to become City Attorney for the City of Myrtle Beach. Will had been with the firm for 20 years.
