Collins & Lacy attorney selected as an honoree for the 2016 South Carolina Leadership in Law Awards

Collins & Lacy, P.C. announced that Christian Stegmaier has been chosen as a 2016 South Carolina Leadership in Law Award honoree. He will receive the award on March 10, 2016 at a special dinner for all honorees, held in Charleston, SC.

South Carolina Lawyers Weekly gives the distinguished award to those members of the South Carolina legal community who have achieved success in their law practice, made contributions to society and had an impact on the legal industry.

“It is an honor to be chosen for this prestigious award,” said Stegmaier, “and I consider it a distinct privilege to be included among the number of its recipients.”

Stegmaier is a shareholder with the firm and a member of the firm’s Management Committee and chair of the Retail & Hospitality Practice Group. He defends national and regional leaders in the retail and hospitality sectors doing business in South Carolina in claims involving premises liability, loss prevention, food adulteration, third party torts, and alcohol liability. In addition to his practice focus in retail and hospitality, Stegmaier is skilled in appellate advocacy and complex litigation. He is also a Professor of Hotel & Restaurant Law at the University of South Carolina’s national acclaimed College of Hospitality, Retail & Sport Management. Stegmaier is involved in the community through serving on the Executive Committee of the Indian Waters Council-Boy Scouts of America and as president of his congregation, New Hope Lutheran Church.
