Collins & Lacy, P.C. Grows Employment Practice with Addition of Michael Pitts

GREENVILLE, SC – June 27, 2011 – Collins & Lacy, P.C. is pleased to announce that Michael Pitts has joined the firm’s Greenville office as a shareholder practicing in employment and labor law.
Pitts has spent most of his 15-year career helping businesses with labor and employment matters and complex commercial cases. Pitts is experienced in litigation and arbitration, as well as counseling management on ways to avoid disputes.

Pitts is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated with distinction from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Juris Doctor from The University of South Carolina School of Law. Since 2009, Pitts has consecutively been honored as one of the Best Lawyers in America.
His addition to the Collins & Lacy Greenville office is an ongoing effort of the firm’s strategic plan to effectively and efficiently serve clients throughout the entire state of South Carolina. “As the businesses that we serve continue to prosper, we are working to meet our clients’ needs by strengthening the Upstate arm of our employment law practice group,” said managing shareholder Gray Culbreath.

Over the years, Pitts has been devoted to his practice of law and his community. Pitts was on the Board of Friends of the Greenville Zoo, he is a Buncombe Street United Methodist Church Council member and a Leadership Greenville alumnus. Pitts lives in the Upstate with his wife and three sons.
