Colonial Life once again named top benefits partner in national awards

November 3, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC — Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company once again has been named the top benefits carrier by brokers across the country.

In the 2015 Benefits Selling Readers’ Choice Awards, which were announced this week, Benefits Selling magazine asked brokers to name their top carrier in eight categories important to brokers today. Colonial Life was named the winner in five categories key to its business:

Which carrier is the easiest to work with?

Which enrollment company could you not live without?

Which technology vendor makes your life the easiest?

Which carrier best prepared for a defined contribution future?

Which carrier is best prepared for PPACA?

In addition to the five first-place awards, Colonial Life also finished runner-up in two other categories: best dental coverage and most comprehensive service.

The national publication is targeted to brokers and agents who sell group and voluntary insurance products and features the results of its annual awards program each November.

In the past 10 years, Colonial Life has earned 41 top honors in categories recognizing service, innovation and insurance products. It was the only company to win more than one first place award in this year’s balloting.

“For 10 years running, brokers have recognized Colonial Life as their clear choice for voluntary benefits,” said Tim Arnold, president and chief executive officer at Colonial Life. “This continued vote of confidence demonstrates the value of the solutions and service Colonial Life offers to brokers.”
