Columbia attorneys announce new firm

Columbia attorneys Dan D’Alberto and Michael Graham have merged their law and business consulting practices to create D’Alberto & Graham Attorneys and Advisors. The firm’s legal practice areas include general counsel services, business transactions, commercial real estate, and trusts and estates, while the business consulting practice includes general consulting, strategic planning, startups, and economic development.

Dan and Michael together bring a focus on helping business owners develop and implement strategic legal solutions targeted at achieving their best and highest goals. The new firm includes a diverse team of thinkers and doers that brings a unique balance of vision and implementation.
“Michael and I look forward to serving business owners and real estate developers throughout the Midlands and the state of South Carolina,” said D’Alberto. “As business owners ourselves, we understand the struggles they face, and our job is to provide solutions that not only solve problems, but put our clients on a trajectory for growth.”
They are joined in the new firm by Ashton Gottschall, attorney; Christa Porth and Megan Briscoe, paralegals; and Rachel Morgan, administrative and legal assistant.
Dan D’Alberto has acted as outside general counsel for numerous companies, small business clients and state agencies handling an array of legal issues, as well as a wide variety of strategic business and real estate-related issues. He also worked in investment banking, helping business owners sell their businesses, and helped found a small private equity group. He holds bachelors and law degrees from the University of South Carolina, as well as master’s degree from Florida State University.
Prior to law school, D’Alberto served as a development officer at the University of South Carolina and at Johns Hopkins University.
Michael Graham, who formerly practiced as The Law Offices of Michael Graham, focuses his practice on helping people develop and implement strong business solutions to help them achieve their goals. He formerly served in the leadership of a law firm based in South Carolina and focused on general litigation and transactional law serving businesses and families.
Graham also serves as an officer in the US Army Reserve, having deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan and has been recognized for his ongoing work as an Army Judge Advocate. In his civilian practice, Graham has achieved a Martindale-Hubbell “AV Preeminent Peer Review.” He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, a master’s from Troy State University and a law degree from Campbell University School of Law.
