Columbia Bethlehem Community Center names new Executive Director

COLUMBIA, SC – Columbia Bethlehem Community Center (CBCC) is pleased to welcome Kara Simmons as its new Executive Director. In this role, Simmons will develop and oversee the goals and strategies of the organization to enhance the community programs provided by CBCC.

“Kara brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and partner-building skills gained through working with non-profit organizations,” said Sandra W. Harrison, CBCC Board Chair. “We look forward to her dynamic leadership of the CBCC vision of serving children, youth and families in the Midlands.”

A native of North Charleston, Simmons hold a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies Columbia College and a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership. She most recently served as Director of Financial Programs at The Cooperative Ministry in Columbia.
