I love visiting other people’s homes. For some weird reason, I just find other people’s stuff far more interesting than mine. Their furniture, coffee mugs, and knick knacks always seem more fascinating than my own.

This weekend, Columbia Open Studios invites Columbians to check out the studios of over 70 local artists. It’s a self-guided tour wherein you can browse and (hopefully) buy art from your friends and neighbors…the artists that help make Columbia such a fun and eclectic place to live. Artists get to keep 100% of their profits too (much better than a typical 50/50 gallery split).

After attending the preview party last night, I’m pretty excited to see what my favorite artists are up to.

Hope to see you out and about this weekend!
