Columbia Speech-Language Pathologist tops list of 25 Podcasts to Follow

Columbia Speech-Language Pathologist Michelle L.W. Dawson, MS, CCC-SLP, CLC  has earned the #3 spot on the “Top 25 Speech Pathology Podcasts to Follow in 2019” list published by Feedspot. Dawson’s podcast, “First Bite – Fed, Fun and Functional Resources for the Pediatric SLP” focuses on the unique population of medically complex and fragile pediatric patients.

Through “First Bite,” Dawson offers her own unique insights and interviews renowned experts in the field with the goal of inspiring and illuminating all aspects of diagnosing and treating feeding and swallowing disorders in affected children.

Topics covered include: a look at Down’s Syndrome and dysphagia, feeding tubes and implications for pediatric feeding and swallowing, tackling sensory processing issues and quality interventions with infants and toddlers. New episodes air live and interactive every Tuesday evening at 5:00pm PDT (8pm EDT).

Dawson is the Immediate Past President of the South Carolina Speech-Language Hearing Association and presently serves as the Treasurer for the Council of State Association Presidents (CSAP).
