Commerce Club of Greenville announces rebrand – introducing: City Club of Greenville
August 17, 2023The Commerce Club, a private business and social club located in downtown Greenville, announces a plan of revitalization with a new name, logo, brand, and interior design that follows the exciting trajectory of growth in Greenville.
“The Commerce Club has had an important history in Greenville for 40 years. However, over the last few years, many in the community have forgotten what a hidden gem it is – with some being unclear on if the Club was even open and in operation anymore,” says Sean Laney, Founder and President of BNG Hospitality. “We wanted to give the Club an up-to-date atmosphere of an engaging, refined, and relevant lifestyle space that will appeal to a wide audience of prospective Members.”
New life enters the Club with sleek renovations that align with the fresh new vision for the establishment as the Commerce Club transforms into the City Club of Greenville. General Manager Ted Sweeney says, “The new designs, finishes, and furnishings are inspired by an alchemy of sophisticated, southern hospitality, melded with the rustic elements and refined textures that represent the unique, natural beauty of the Upstate region.” According to Sweeney, the one thing that will not be changing is the incredible, 17th floor panoramic views of the city and Blue Ridge foothills from nearly every room.
Mayor Knox White of Greenville says, “I’m glad to see a rebranding of the Commerce Club to the City Club. The revitalization of the space and name is symbolic of the growth our city is experiencing.”
The enhanced experience of City Club of Greenville will match the physical changes with transformed food and beverage offerings and dynamic programming. The new menu will highlight approachable, yet refined cuisine featuring local ingredients, inventive craft cocktails and beer, and a list of wine selections reflective of the Club’s epicurean spirit.
While the dining and social scene is an important component of City Club of Greenville life, the new design also provides Members with a place to have a refuge or work remotely. Members can set-up shop for the day in the Emerald Lounge or in one of the mini meeting rooms. Small and large private event spaces are available with no room rental fees to Club members for hosting those important client meetings, or for celebrating life’s most important milestones.
With a limited number of new memberships available for a preferred pre-opening Initiation Fee and monthly dues waived until the fall reopening, now is the perfect time to consider joining the new City Club of Greenville. Interested parties can contact Membership Director, Kimberley Loper at 864-232-5600 x2224, or by email at [email protected].
