Commerce looking for photos that define rural South Carolina

9th annual Rural Summit contest open to amateur photographers
 
COLUMBIA,SC – January 23, 2013 – Have a photo that encapsulates rural life inthe Palmetto State? Send it to Commerce and you might be the winner ofthe ninth annual Amateur Rural Summit Photography Contest.
 
Sponsoredby the Small Business and Rural Development Division of the S.C.Department of Commerce, the Rural Summit Photography Contest is part ofthe annual South Carolina Rural Summit conference, which will be held inAiken on March 4, 2013.
 
The contest is open to the public, andentries should reflect the unique features of rural life in the PalmettoState. Fifteen finalist photos will be chosen by S.C. Department ofCommerce staff and displayed at the Rural Summit. Attendees of the RuralSummit will vote, and the winning photo will be announced at the end ofthe program on March 4.

Photographs must be original work of theapplicant and feature rural South Carolina subject matter. Photos maybe color or black-and-white, and should be submitted as an 8”x10” imagewith name of photo, name of photographer, and completed registration andrelease forms, which are located on the Commerce website at this link:Rural Summit Photo Contest.
 
The deadline for submission is Friday, February 15, 2013.
