Community Association Management Services’ Kim Hurd earns Association Management Specialist designation

Community Association Management Services (CAMS), North Carolina and South Carolina’s premier community management company, announced that Kim Hurd, CMCA®, a CAMS senior community manager in Charleston, has earned her Association Management Specialist (AMS®) designation. Hurd joins an elite group of community association managers who have earned the AMS® credential from the Community Associations Institute (CAI). Hurd is one of more than 6,000 community association managers worldwide who have earned this prestigious designation.
To earn the AMS credential, managers must complete advanced coursework and have at least two years of experience in community association management. In addition, they must have already earned the basic industry certification for managers—the Certified Manager of Community Associations credential. In addition, the AMS® credential provides standards for association management that give homeowners and boards confidence in their manager’s knowledge and ability to provide professional services.
Hurd has worked in the community association management industry for 30 years, seven of which have been spent with CAMS. She has a broad range of portfolio and on-site management experience and was promoted to senior community manager in 2021.
