Community COVID-19 testing closed at Prisma Health Richland Hospital

January 12, 2022

Prisma Health Richland Hospital will close drive-through Community Testing for COVID-19 on the hospital campus.

The last day of drive-through Community Testing on the hospital campus will be today, Wednesday, January 12, 7:30–11:30 a.m. and 5–7 p.m. Please do not go to hospital Emergency Departments for COVID-19 testing.

On-campus drive-through testing will continue for Prisma Health team members and pre-surgical patients only.

TourHealth is opening a large capacity Community Testing drive-through site tomorrow, Jan 13 at Columbia Place Mall, 7201 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29223 (near the former Sears entrance). The new site operates 7:30 a.m.–7 p.m., seven days a week. This site will offer both testing and vaccine services and provides eight lanes of testing capability to easily meet peak demand with maximum speed and efficiency. In addition, at-home saliva test kits will be available for quick pickup, complete with paid shipping to the laboratory.

Officials advise that community testing sites are only intended for free community testing. Pre-surgical testing should take place at hospital-based testing sites.
