Lowcountry Banking Leader Begins Social Media Initiative To Coincide with New ‘Have You Found Your Smile Today?’ Promotion

CHARLESTON, SC – October 23, 2009 –  Representatives of Community FirstBank  announced the launch of the bank’s Facebook and Twitter pages. The bank’s Facebook page can be found at www.facebook.com/CommFirstBank, and Twitter page at www.twitter.com/CommFirstBank.

These new social media applications were launched in conjunction with the bank’s new Have You Found Your Smile Today? promotion. This promotion consists of Community FirstBank giving away $100 every weekday through October 30 to lucky winners throughout the greater Charleston area. For winners to claim the prize, they must correctly decode the daily clues to find the secret location of where the day’s smile bank, which contains $100, is located in the greater Charleston area. Community FirstBank is partnering with local radio stations, as well as utilizing social media, to give clues of where potential winners can find the smile banks.

Fans who visit the bank’s Facebook page will also discover a variety of features including: discussion boards; links to banking news articles; blogs; photos; video; and events. Twitter will serve as a way to for banking leaders to stay connected and communicate with bank customers through the exchange of quick, frequent posts, or Tweets.
