Community Invited to “Faith Through the Fire” Featuring 9/11 Firefighter Niels Jorgensen

As the nation approaches the 25th anniversary of September 11, the Fountain Inn community is invited to gather for “Faith Through the Fire: A 9/11 Firefighter’s Story of Survival”, a live interview with Niels Jorgensen, former NYC firefighter who was at Ground Zero on 9/11. The event is Thursday, September 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Infinity Church, 412 Fairview Street Extension in Fountain Inn.
The free program will be hosted by Carol Roper of the Building Strong Homes Podcast and will give the community an opportunity to remember the lives lost on September 11, honor the first responders who served that day, and recognize the firefighters and law enforcement officers who continue to serve communities today.
Niels Jorgensen, a 22-year veteran and retired lieutenant with the New York City Fire Department, responded to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, joining his fellow FDNY firefighters at the Twin Towers.
During the evening, Jorgensen will share his firsthand experience of that day, his journey of loss and survival, and the role faith has played in his life since. A dedicated question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
The event offers residents an opportunity to hear a deeply personal account of one of the most consequential days in American history while reflecting on the courage, sacrifice, and service demonstrated by first responders.
Admission is free, and community members are encouraged to attend.
