Community Rallies for Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser – Just Eight Team Spots Left!

April 14, 2025

Excitement is building for one of the area’s most anticipated events of the year—the annual charity golf tournament, which continues to draw strong community support. With just a few weeks to go, organizers report that 14 teams have already signed up, leaving eight open spots for those still hoping to get in on the action.

Currently, 36 local businesses have stepped up as sponsors—an impressive number, though still short of last year’s total of 88. Organizers are hopeful that more sponsors will come forward in the final stretch, as 100% of the proceeds from the event stay right here in the community to support local charitable initiatives.

“This tournament is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Post Commander Kevin Farnsworth. “We’re incredibly grateful to the businesses that sponsor a hole at a cost of $100, and to all the volunteers who help make this happen. It takes about six months to organize, and we couldn’t do it without them.”

This year’s tournament features a thrilling hole-in-one prize: a brand-new 2025 F-150 4×4 truck for any golfer lucky enough to ace the 17th hole.

As a token of appreciation, all participating players will receive a custom golf towel, thanking them for their role in supporting local community charities.

Organizers encourage those interested in entering a team or becoming a sponsor to act quickly, as the remaining team slots are expected to fill soon.
