Complete Fan Guide: Match Day Operations and Entry Policies for GE Vernova Park
May 27, 2026Professional soccer is entering a bold new era in the Upstate next week as the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club officially prepares to host its highly anticipated 2026 home opener.
The club will square off against Forward Madison FC for its historic first-ever match at the brand-new, $30 million GE Vernova Park at BridgeWay Station on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
To celebrate the grand opening, a plaza-wide Fan Fest will kick off at 4:30 PM, featuring live entertainment, local vendors, and a dedicated Kids Zone. Stadium gates will swing open at 6:00 PM ahead of the official 7:30 PM kickoff.
For thousands of fans heading to the new 4,300-seat venue for the first time, club officials have released a comprehensive operational guide to ensure a smooth, secure, and family-friendly experience.
Strict Security and Clear Bag Policies
To streamline entry and maximize public safety, GE Vernova Park will enforce a strict clear bag policy identical to major league sports venues:
-
Permitted Bags: Fans may carry clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote bags that do not exceed $12 \times 6 \times 12 \text{ inches}$. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc or similar) are also fully approved.
-
Clutches: Small, hand-sized clutch bags (with or without a handle or strap) can be taken into the stadium alongside one of the clear bag options.
-
Exceptions: Diaper bags and medically necessary items will be permitted following a proper security screening at a specifically designated gate.
-
Prohibited Items: Backpacks, computer bags, luggage, camera bags, briefcases, fanny packs, cinch bags, large purses, coolers, and strollers are strictly banned.
Stadium Fan Policies and Code of Conduct
The Triumph is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and loud environment for all supporters. Fans are highly encouraged to bring signs, flags, and banners, provided they contain no profanity and do not block the field of view for other patrons or official stadium sponsorship signage.
The stadium code explicitly prohibits video cameras, tripods, monopods, or long-lens cameras exceeding 6 inches. Outside food and beverages are not allowed, though the stadium will allow empty clear plastic water bottles to be brought inside and filled on-site. Exceptions are also carved out for infant formula.
To maintain an authentic but respectful soccer atmosphere, independent unapproved noise-making devices—including whistles, air horns, plastic horns, vuvuzelas, and boom boxes—are prohibited. Additionally, items like confetti, canisters, small punch-hole size confetti, beach balls, and outside soccer balls are banned from the grandstands.
For fans looking to enjoy a beverage, alcohol sales will be available for guests 21 and older with a valid ID. To ensure a responsible environment, guests are limited to two alcoholic beverages at any given time, and all alcohol sales will officially conclude at the match’s 70th minute.
