Conestee Nature Preserve offers intimate golf cart tours designed for accessible nature exploration
August 10, 2026Conestee Nature Preserve is opening its trail system to visitors seeking a low-impact way to experience the sanctuary’s wildlife and landscapes. The preserve will host a Private Golf Cart Tour on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, offering an intimate, guided journey through its diverse ecosystems.
Geared specifically toward individuals with mobility challenges—while remaining open to nature lovers of all ages—the two-hour program provides an accessible alternative to foot hiking along the sanctuary’s 13 miles of trails and boardwalks.
An intimate look at wildlife and local history
Led by preserve guides, the golf cart tour makes frequent stops along scenic overlooks, wetlands, and forested corridors. Participants will learn about the preserve’s rich history, ongoing conservation efforts, and native wildlife, which includes over 200 bird species, white-tailed deer, and river otters.
To ensure an intimate experience, capacity is strictly capped at five participants total.

Provided Gear: Complimentary binoculars are provided for all guests to enhance birdwatching and wildlife viewing during stops.

Prompt Departure: Guests are asked to arrive by 8:50 AM so the tour can embark promptly at 9:00 AM.
Registration, location, and ticket details
Tickets for the tour are $25.00 (plus a $0.63 ticket service fee) per person. Registration must be completed in advance online, with ticket sales ending on Sunday, August 16, at 5:00 PM.
