Congaree Land Trust welcomes the Midlands to ‘Oysters for Acres’ Event
October 19, 2026Congaree Land Trust (CLT) will host Oysters for Acres on Wednesday, November 18, at The Millstone at Adams Pond. Tickets are on sale now for this fall conservation celebration.
The evening brings neighbors, landowners, and conservation supporters together in the heart of the COWASEE Basin, one of the Midlands’ most treasured landscapes, for a night of freshly roasted oysters and other delicious bites, beer & wine, and live music by Steve Bennett and Jim Graddick. Oysters for Acres is an evening of good food and good company, all in support of Congaree Land Trust’s mission to protect farms, forests, and natural areas across central South Carolina.
“The COWASEE Basin is referred to as the Green Heart of South Carolina and it is certainly at the heart of our conservation work”, said Stuart White, Executive Director of Congaree Land Trust. “We look forward to gathering with our supporters and conservation partners at the beautiful Millstone in celebration of this region and in anticipation of the many new land protection projects to come in the COWASEE and beyond.”
Event proceeds support CLT’s land protection work across its 15-county service area. This event is made possible by the generous support of our sponsors, and is presented by Milliken Advisors and Jim Hudson GMC.
