Cottontown Art Crawl – March 14

February 13, 2020

The second annual Cottontown Art Crawl (CAC) will take place in the historic neighborhood of Bellevue, commonly known as Cottontown, in downtown Columbia, SC on on Saturday, March 14 from 10 am to 3 pm. The 2020 CAC will feature more than 50 local artists, who will be stationed on front porches and at businesses throughout the neighborhood. Due to the success of last year’s Art Crawl, which earned the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods’ “Neighborhood Program of the Year” award, this year boasts double the number of artists, as well as new sponsorships from local businesses. The event is FREE and open to the public; self-guided tours begin at 2136 Sumter street, and maps and FREE bikes from Blue Bike SC will be available.

The Art Crawl is an opportunity to explore Cottontown, meet local artists, purchase art, and visit local businesses. “We have artists who have exhibited at ArtFields as well as emerging artists,” organizer Julie Seel says. “There is something for every type of art enthusiast.” Artists this year include jewelry-makers, painters, textile artists, and many more.

“Sip & See” preview party will take place today, Feb. 13, at Aloft Columbia Downtown from 4 pm to 7 pm. Enjoy a drink while meeting some of the featured artists, who will be showing their work.
