The final stretch of summer break is officially here. Greenville County Schools will open their doors for the 2026–2027 school year on Tuesday, August 11. For families across Mauldin, Simpsonville, and Fountain Inn, the countdown means finishing up summer routines, double-checking registration on the GCS Parent Backpack app, and knocking out those mandatory school supply lists.
