County Council sets virtual hearing for rezoning requests, seeks public input

County Council will hold a virtual public hearing to discuss a set of proposed map amendments Tuesday, March 23.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and will stream live on the County’s YouTube page at www.youtube.com/user/richlandonline/videos.

The full agenda of rezoning requests can be viewed by visiting www.richlandcountysc.gov and navigating to the County Council webpage.

Residents can comment on agenda items via email: [email protected], or by mailing Richland County Community Planning and Development, Planning & Development Services, 2020 Hampton St., Columbia, SC 29204. Comments must be received by noon Monday, March 22 and will be read during the meeting with their corresponding agenda item.

In order for County Council to enact a rezoning request, an ordinance amending the official zoning map must pass three readings by majority vote.
