County Rivalry Showdown in Laurens on August 25th

In a collision of tradition, passion, and fierce competition, the Laurens Raiders (0-1) and the Clinton Red Devils (1-0) will clash on the gridiron on Friday, August 25th, in the annual county rivalry game. The game is scheduled to take place at the Laurens High School KC Hanna Stadium with a kickoff time of 7:30 pm.

As has come to be expected, generations of fans will gather to watch these teams battle it out on the field. The Raiders are coming off of a tough loss to Hillcrest and the Red Devils come in after a blowout win at Batesburg Leesville.

Laurens fans and the Clinton faithful planning to make the pilgrimage to Laurens for the game are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online. Metal Detector screening will be used at all gates and the clear bag policy will be enforced. Tickets will also be sold at the gate for $8. The security checks lines are projected to be long and having tickets purchased in advance will allow people to avoid the frustration of standing in two lines.

Some additional helpful information includes:

  • Football Stadium Entrance-Pass holders will use Gate A, Home Ticket Holders will use Gate B, and visiting fans will use Gate C and Gate D.
  • SCHSL passes will be honored at the gate for all events.
  • 1st Grade and up will be required a ticket to enter.
  • All elementary and middle school aged children and must enter with a paying adult and remain under adult supervision at ALL times during the event.
  • All security measures will remain in place before entering the event:
  • Metal Detector Screening
  • Clear Bag Policy
  • No unsealed outside food or drinks.
  • No Re-entry
  • No one will be allowed to congregate or “hang out” in front of the restrooms or concession area.
  • No one is allowed on or near the playing field or court at any time. Only team personnel will be allowed near team benches or sidelines.
  • All parking inside of GATE 6 or GATE 7 is reserved for Century Club, Game Workers, and Handicap. You must present your pass/tag before entering.
  • No animals are allowed on campus at athletic events, with the exception of trained service animals.
