COLUMBIA & ANDERSON, SC – SuggsJohnson LLC, a CPA and business consulting firm serving South Carolina, has promoted John Clint Bates to Tax Manager on the firm’s rapidly-growing tax team.
Mr. Bates is an Anderson, South Carolina native who joined SuggsJohnson as a Tax Accountant in 2008. In his role as Tax Manager, he provides tax consulting and compliance services to individuals and closely held businesses. He focuses on tax planning and compliance, financial statements including compilations and reviews, and non-profit formation/filings.
Mr. Bates earned a degree in Business Administration/Accounting from The Citadel in 2008. He is a licensed CPA in South Carolina and an active member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves as chair of the CPA Leadership Institute Alumni. He was selected as a Commerce Clearing House Emerging Leader, and is actively involved in the community through the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way and the YMCA.
