Credit Union Sponsors BIZ Camp for Young Entrepreneurs

July 27, 2012

CHARLESTON, SC – July 27, 2012 – South Carolina Federal Credit Union partnered with Paul Smith of BIZ Camp to host free entrepreneur camps for high school students for two weeks in July.

High school students in the Charleston area were given the chance to attend a free week-long camp, where they learned about entrepreneurship and the skills needed to run their own businesses.  Participating students worked on team projects, class exercises and business plans.

At the end of each week, each student presented his or her business plan to a panel of judges. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three winners to help fund their ideas.

This was the third year that South Carolina Federal sponsored BIZ Camp.
