Cristina Frazzano named principal of Ladson Elementary School
May 12, 2025Charleston County School District (CCSD) announced that Cristina Frazzano has been named the next principal of Ladson Elementary School (Grades 1–5), effective July 7, 2025. Janet Brown will remain on the same campus to serve as the principal of the new primary school for the Child Development (Pre-K) and Kindergarten grades, maintaining the successful dual-campus leadership model that supports the unique developmental needs of early learners and upper elementary students.
Frazzano brings more than 25 years of experience in elementary education and school leadership. She most recently served as an elementary school principal in the Morris School District in Morristown, NJ, where her leadership resulted in strong academic performance and consistent gains in student achievement. She is known for building strong school communities, focusing on instruction, and connecting to families. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing her to communicate even more effectively with the diverse school community members.
In addition to her role as a principal, Frazzano also served as the district’s Multilingual Coordinator, where she led curriculum development, supervised academic programs, and provided leadership coaching to school administrators. Her work has contributed to measurable growth in student performance and teacher effectiveness across the district.
