The campaign will continue throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness month with Cromer’s famous Pink Popcorn (it tastes the same, just looks different!), popped in honor of all breast cancer survivors. Cromer’s will donate another 10 percent to the Alala Cancer Society from all custom “Rise Above Cancer” pink popcorn sold through October 31 found only at Cromer’s P-nuts on 1700 Huger Street and at Cromer’s website www.cromers.com.

Cromer’s is proud to partner with this local South Carolina non-profit whose mission is to provide assistance to those who are un- or underinsured. “Alala” is from Greek Mythology as the personification of the female war cry”. Cromer’s P-nuts, a Columbia institution for the past 78 years and the Alala Cancer Society “have joined forces to bring critical awareness to this devastating disease”

Says Agata Chydzinski, Cromer’s General Manager. “We are grateful for Cromer’s commitment to this cause and to Cromer’s shoppers for their commitment and support” says Kim Neel, co-Founder and Current Chair of Alala Cancer Society.

Together, both women-owned and run businesses hope to raise awareness and support Alala’s mission.

About Cromer’s (www.cromers.com)

A family business since 1935, Cromer’s P-nuts is one of the most famous stores in Columbia, SC. Founded by Julian Cromer, a South Carolina farmer 78 years ago, Cromer’s is best known for selling the BEST roast and boiled p-nuts under its humorous slogan “Guaranteed Worst in Town”. In the years since Julian Cromer first started his one man produce stand, Cromer’s has grown to sell all kinds of fresh and flavorful snacks, as well as concession equipment, party supplies and advertising specialties. Of course, you can still get fresh roasted and boiled peanuts. And everything at Cromer’s is still… Guaranteed Worst in Town.
