CSU Class of 2016 graduates May 7

Charleston Southern University will confer approximately 650 degrees Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m.at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Carolyn D. Hunter, president of C & A Unlimited, Inc., and owner of three McDonald’s franchises, will be the guest speaker. She has been a member of the CSU Board of Visitors Executive Council. The university will award her an honorary doctor of business administration degree during the ceremony.

The university will award Distinguished Service Awards to Lisa Main and Amy Niebuhr, both members of CSU’s Women’s Council.

The university’s 2016 recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award, Professor Alan Fix, will be Grand Marshal of the ceremony. Fix is a criminal justice professor and director of the CSI at CSU summer camp for high school students interested in criminal justice careers.
