Daffodils for Remembrance: Planting Hope and Love with Clinton Canopy

November 8, 2023

As the days grow shorter and the crisp autumn air sets in, it’s the perfect time to remember our loved ones and honor their enduring memory. This year, Clinton Canopy is bringing the Clinton community together for a heartwarming event that not only beautifies the town but also serves as a symbol of hope.

Join Clinton Canopy and members of the community on November 11 for the inaugural “Daffodils for Remembrance” event.

The “Daffodils for Remembrance” event is a unique opportunity to plant daffodil bulbs in memory of your loved ones. These bright and cheerful flowers have long been associated with renewal and the promise of a new beginning, making them a fitting symbol for the occasion.

Between 9 and 11 am on November 11, head to 100 Legion Dr to receive your daffodil bulbs and, if needed, assistance with planting. The event promises to be a community affair, with volunteers and neighbors coming together to help plant these bulbs, transforming this area into a sea of golden daffodils come spring.

But the impact of your participation doesn’t end with the planting. Your loved ones’ names will be featured on Clinton Canopy’s dedicated webpage at clintoncanopy.org, ensuring their memory lives on for years to come. Each spring, these vibrant yellow daffodils will bloom, creating an enduring tribute to those we hold dear.

What’s even more touching is that this tradition will continue to grow. Each year, different areas of Clinton will be chosen for planting, allowing the community to dedicate more daffodils in remembrance of loved ones. It’s an ever-expanding legacy of love and remembrance that will brighten Clinton for generations.

Participating in this event is easy.

Simply reserve your free daffodil bulbs by clicking HERE, and then join others at 100 Legion Dr on November 11, between 9 and 11 am, to plant daffodils, share stories, and remember those who have touched our lives.

The “Daffodils for Remembrance” event is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Clinton Canopy, an organization dedicated to enhancing our town’s beauty and fostering a strong sense of community. Their recent efforts to prepare the ground for planting have paved the way for this wonderful tradition, and their continued support ensures its success.

Together, we can create a living legacy that blooms every year, reminding us of the love we hold for those who have left us but will never be forgotten.

Here are some photos of Clinton Canopy members getting the site ready for planting.
