Dancing with the Carolina Stars returns for a sixth year of world class dancing and fundraising

GREENVILLE, SC – Capitalizing on the popularity of the hit TV show “Dancing with the Stars,” local human service organization Senior Action will be staging its 6th Annual “Dancing with the Carolina Stars,” premiere charity event where area “celebrities” compete to raise funds for the local charity.

The fundraiser will take place Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville. Ten local “celebrities” — a diverse group of community leaders– are paired with professional dancers to train and compete for the public’s votes. Unlike the typical fundraising event, “Dancing with the Carolina Stars” is engaging and interactive. Those who cannot attend can even get involved by voting for their favorite couples before the event via its website www.dancingwiththecarolinastars.com.

Celebrity dancers will be competing for the most money raised via web voting and individual donations. The public can cast a vote for their favorite dancing couple (at $10 per vote) by going to www.dancingwiththecarolinastars.com or by sending their donation to Senior Action, 50 Directors Drive, Greenville, SC 29615.

Senior Action is currently seeking sponsors for Dancing with the Carolina Stars. Sponsorship are available from $500 to $5,000, and include event tickets, votes and promotional considerations.
