Dannaca Diaz named firefighter of the year by Fountain Inn Rotary Club

Fountain Inn Fire Department member Dannaca Diaz has been named Firefighter of the Year by the Rotary Club of Fountain Inn, receiving recognition for her service, dedication, and persistent work ethic within the community.

The distinction was presented by the local service organization during its annual honors this June, recognizing Diaz’s standout contributions to emergency response, department training, and public service.

Fountain Inn Fire Chief Russell Alexander commended Diaz for her reliability and resolve on the job. “Dannaca is a hard-working and dependable member of the department who consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic,” Alexander said. “She approaches challenges with a determined, never-quit attitude and does not give up when faced with difficult tasks or circumstances. Her persistence, dedication, and willingness to see things through to completion make her a valuable member of the team.”

The Fountain Inn Fire Department publicly celebrated the award, noting that Diaz routinely exemplifies the department’s core standards whether responding on the front lines, mastering new training, or engaging with local residents.
