Daybreak LifeCare Center announces new Executive Director

July 28, 2021

Daybreak LifeCare Center announces that Eddie Benton has been selected as its new Executive Director.

For the past five years, Benton served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the pro-life ministry. A long-time Columbia business leader, he provides a wealth of experience in managing people and processes in a number of challenging settings.

“It is a thrill to be able to serve in this new role for a ministry that has been such an important part of my life these past several years,” said Benton. “I’m deeply grateful to the Board of Directors for its confidence in extending me this high honor for service.”

In transitioning to his new role, Benton’s primary focus will be to deepen Daybreak’s relationships with partner organizations involved in the battle to save the lives of unborn children, and to appeal in a larger way to the Christian community for greater support.

“It is the mission of Daybreak to empower women, men, and families in the Midlands,” added Benton. “We want them have positive and healthy lives for themselves and the unborn, so we help by providing exceptional care, education, and medical information about sexual health and pregnancy.”

Daybreak pursues its mission by extending grace, speaking truth, building connections, and offering hope in a compassionate manner. The work is toward the end that everyone in our community is empowered to choose the abundant life that God intends for us all.
