Deadline for Voter Registration is October 2nd

The deadline to register to vote in the general election on November 3rd is October 2nd.  If you are not registered to vote and want to participate in the November 3rd election you must do so by the deadline. If you need to update your information you can do so after the deadline but are encouraged to do so as soon as possible in order to avoid any confusion on election day.

How to register to vote (from www.scvotes.gov):

To register to vote you will need a South Carolina Driver’s License or a DMV identification card and if you have moved, you will first need to update your residence address with DMV

You can register by mail, email or fax – Download a voter registration formcomplete it, and return it to the Laurens County Board of Registration and Elections office by mail, fax, or email.

To register in person, you can go to the Laurens County Board of Registration & Elections office located at 200 Courthouse, Public Square, Laurens, SC  29360.

You can also register while receiving services at various agencies including the Department of Motor Vehicles. See a complete list of agencies providing voter registration under the National Voter Registration Act.
