Dedication of memorial plaque honoring the U.S. Coast Guard’s presence in the City of Charleston

Cole; USCG Cutter Hamilton Commanding Officer, Captain Matthew T. Brown; Vice President of the Coast Guard Combat Veterans Association, Captain Bruce F. Bruni, USCGR (ret); Executive Director of the Foundation for Coast Guard History, Commander Gary M. Thomas, USCG (ret); and Volunteer Researcher for the USCG Atlantic Area Historian’s Office, Commander Peter Rascoe, USCGR (ret) at the dedication ceremony for a memorial plaque honoring the U.S. Coast Guard’s more than 230 years in the city of Charleston. The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in Waterfront Park (near the southern end of the park, adjacent to the east end of N. Adgers Wharf and facing the Cooper River).
