Defense Attorney Group Taps Riordan to Lead Trucking Law Committee

GREENVILLE, SC – April 30, 2009 –  The South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association has named Jack Riordan to chair its Trucking Substantive Law Committee. Riordan practices in the Greenville office of Smith Moore Leatherwood, serving on the firm’s litigation and transportation teams.

SCDTAA President John T. Lay said, “The Trucking Substantive Law Committee represents an important area of practice within our organization, and we look forward to the dedication, energy and substance Jack will bring to the committee’s work.”

Riordan earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina, and an undergraduate degree in Financial Management from Clemson University. Prior to joining Smith Moore Leatherwood, he served as Assistant Solicitor for the Fifth Judicial Circuit in Columbia, and as Assistant Attorney General for the State of South Carolina.
