Design Initiative Group celebrates one-year anniversary and announces new team member and services

Design Initiative Group “DIG” is an architecture firm in Columbia, South Carolina founded in September of 2020 by Architects Josh Boltinhouse, AIA and Luke McCary, AIA. Josh and Luke bring over 30 years combined experience managing multiple project types and sizes and have worked together for over 10 years.
“We attribute a successful first year to our fresh approach to design and client relationships. We believe that every project is unique and should be treated that way” said founding Principal Luke McCary. “We are passionate about what we do and that is evident in how we approach our business, projects and clients. At the end of the day, we want to help people and make Architecture an enjoyable experience for everyone”.
To keep up with its tremendous growth in project volume across the Southeast markets DIG recognized its need to expand its team and services. In August of 2020, DIG welcomed Senior Interior Designer, Erica Laroche. Erica brings a decade of experience as an interior designer with a broad portfolio of project types. Her areas of expertise include Corporate, Hospitality, Medical Office, Religious and Adaptive Reuse. Erica is a graduate of Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design.
“Hiring Erica was the best decision. Erica is a talented designer, a hard worker and clients enjoy working with her” said Founding Principal Josh Boltinhouse. Erica, Luke and Josh previously worked together for over 8 years which made Erica’s transition to the team seamless.
