Despite Sluggish Economy, Nexsen Pruet Hires 17 Lawyers in 2011

CHARLESTON, SC – November 18, 2011 – In 2011, Nexsen Pruet has hired seventeen attorneys in its North and South Carolina offices.  The latest additions are three newly sworn-in members of the South Carolina Bar. 
The three new associates are Kenny Gardner, Sima Patel and Tommy Preston and will practice in firm’s Charleston, Greenville and Columbia offices.

Gardner is an associate with the firm’s Business Litigation Group in Charleston, supporting veteran litigators including former South Carolina Bar President Brad Waring.  Gardner earned his law degree from the Charleston School of Law.
 
Patel is an associate with the firm’s Business Litigation Group in Greenville, working along side Billy Wilkins, former Chief Judge of the U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Patel earned her law degree from the American University Washington College of Law.
 
Preston is an associate in the firm’s Financial Services and Economic Development group, assisting former Columbia Mayor Bob Coble on a variety of matters including those related to alternative energy as well as public policy and governmental affairs.

Preston served as Student Body President at the University of South Carolina as an undergrad and earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
