Diaper Drive-Thru Returns Tuesday, June 10 to Support Local Families in Need

June 9, 2025

The Upstate Pregnancy Center is once again stepping up to meet the needs of local families through its monthly Diaper Drive-Thru, taking place Tuesday, June 10—from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wattsville Drug in Laurens.

Located at 24 Sirrine Street, the Diaper Drive-Thru provides a quick and easy way for families in Laurens County to receive essential supplies, including diapers and wipes, at no cost and with no questions asked. The event has become a reliable resource for parents working hard to provide for their children.

Each participating household can receive one pack of diapers and one pack of wipes per child, with a maximum of two children served per visit. First-time visitors are asked to bring a photo ID and documentation for each child, such as a birth certificate, WIC or Medicaid card, or foster care paperwork. Returning families do not need to present ID again.

Organizers emphasize the event’s accessibility and privacy—families can remain in their vehicles, and volunteers will bring the supplies directly to them.

“We know how stressful it can be for parents when resources are tight,” said Brenda Stewart from the Upstate Pregnancy Center. “Our goal is to help ease that burden in a way that’s supportive and dignified.”

In addition to meeting immediate needs, the center is actively fundraising to establish a permanent facility in Laurens County. Community members who wish to support this effort can scan the QR code below to contribute to the center’s capital campaign.

Whether you’re a parent in need or a community member looking to give back, the Diaper Drive-Thru is a powerful reminder of what it means to care for one another.
