DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation awards grant to South Carolina Charities, Inc. for BMW Charity Pro-Am Junior Golf Clinics

South Carolina Charities, Inc. is pleased to announce the receipt of a $10,000 grant from the DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation for a series of junior golf clinics as part of the 2022 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX taking place June 9-12 at Thornblade Club and The Carolina Country Club.

The grant, given by the local Greenville Golf Galaxy and DICK’S stores, is part of The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation’s Sports Matter Program with a mission to inspire and enable sports participation. With this support, the BMW Charity Pro-Am is able to offer a series of FREE junior golf clinics for a range of youth including a girls’ only clinic, a clinic for Spanish speaking youth, and a clinic for children with Autism for the upstate community.

“We are pleased to award this grant to South Carolina Charities and applaud their efforts in launching such an impactful junior golf clinic series,” said Erin Byrd, Community Marketing Manager for DICK’S Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy. “The junior clinics part of this year’s BMW Charity Pro-Am strongly align with our foundation’s efforts to make sports more accessible to all while teaching life lessons that extend well beyond the playing field.”

Remaining clinics during this year’s BMW Charity Pro-Am include the following:

  • Tuesday, June 7th: South Carolina Junior Golf Association Youth Clinic presented by Pacolet Milliken from 5:00 – 6:00pm at the Thornblade Club Driving Range
  • Wednesday, June 8th: First Tee of the Upstate Spanish Speaking Junior Golf Clinic presented by Pacolet Milliken from 3:00 – 5:00pm at The Carolina Country Club Driving Range
