February 28, 2017

Wed. March 8 at the Seibels House

On International Women’s Day, Wed. March 8, the Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network (WREN) will offer a unique opportunity to sit alongside some of S.C.’s most accomplished women at the inaugural WREN Luncheon, where the following trailblazers will be honored: Vickie Eslinger, Dr. Bambi Gaddist, Marjorie Hammock, Cynthia Hardy, Rachel Hodges, Moryah Jackson, Minor Shaw, The Honorable Molly Spearman, and The Honorable Inez Tenenbaum. Buy tickets at www.scwren.org/events.

Through their personal, professional, and philanthropic achievements, these women embody WREN’s mission to advance the health, economic well-being and rights of S.C. women, girls and their families. The WREN Luncheon gives each attendee the opportunity to dine at a table for eight with one of the honorees, affording guests access to conversations with some of our state’s most remarkable leaders.

“We are humbled by the work these honorees have done on behalf of all South Carolinians,” notes Ann Warner, executive director of WREN. “Our organization works alongside trailblazing women in education, business, the nonprofit sector, and government every day. The women we have selected for our inaugural WREN luncheon are pioneers in their fields, helping to advance our state and our nation through their tireless efforts to improve the status quo.”

The WREN Luncheon will take place on March 8th, 2017 at the historic Seibels House and Garden at 1601 Richland Street in downtown Columbia, S.C., from 11:30am-1:00pm. Guests will enjoy a seated, plated lunch served by Spotted Salamander Catering, a woman-owned business specializing in sustainable ingredients and regional dishes. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by visiting https://www.scwren.org/events/wren-luncheon-bold-change/.
