Discover Simpsonville Hosts “Movies in the Park” Featuring Freakier Friday at CCNB Amphitheatre

Simpsonville residents are invited to grab their lawn chairs and blankets for an outdoor movie night under the stars. Discover Simpsonville will host its upcoming Movies in the Park event featuring Disney’s family comedy Freakier Friday on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 7:30 PM at the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park (861 SE Main Street). Admission is free and open to the public.
A Sequel Decades in the Making
The screening brings the high-energy Disney sequel to the amphitheatre’s massive outdoor screen. Starring original lead duo Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, Freakier Friday picks up two decades after the iconic 2003 body-swapping hit.
In this installment, the body-swap chaotic curse returns—this time expanding to a four-way identity mix-up involving multiple generations as the family navigates new relationships and blended family dynamics.

As part of the city’s summer event programming, “Movies in the Park” offers local families an accessible, cost-free night out in one of the Upstate’s premier outdoor venues.
