In a letter dated November 9th, Jim Barton, Chair of Laurens County School District 56 School Board had positive things to say about the performance of Superintendent David O’Shields for the 2020-2021 school year. The board met on September 27th to review O’Shields performance and progress towards goals.

According to the letter (see complete letter below), the board is very pleased with the efforts made by O’Shields to be the “face” of the District during the COVID pandemic.

At the October meeting of the board they will meet with Dr. O’Shields to discuss goals for the 2021-2022 school year. The Board also voted to give O’Shields a raise to an annual salary of $151,000 retroactive to July, 2021.
