District 56’s Winners in Day 2 of the Michelin STEM Competition

On Friday, April 30th, Laurens County 5th and 6th grade students competed in Day 2 of the Michelin STEM Competition. This competition was held at Clinton High School, and schools from both county school disticts participated. District 56 is proud of all participants and want to officially recognize our teams that placed in the competition. Here are the winners from District 56:

5th Grade:
1st Place Winner in Distance: Ms. Fowler’s class from Clinton Elementary (Diana Dutton, Ariyonna Holmes, Sasha Wesley, Joseph Loggins)
2nd Place Winner in Distance: Mr. Lyda’s class from Clinton Elementary (Cade Lyda, Mlakye Brewer, London Clark, Kamryn Campbell)
3rd Place Winner in Distance: Mrs. Spencer’s class from Clinton Elementary (Lylah Renwick, Hailey Davenport, Jamerion Bluford, Braelan Nelson)
1st Place Winner in Speed: Mr. Lyda’s class from Clinton Elementary (Cade Lyda, Mlakye Brewer, London Clark, Kamryn Campbell)

6th Grade:
1st Place Winner in Distance: Ms. Byce’s class from Clinton Middle School (Karsen Hughes, John Gonzalez Martinez)
