Dita Brown joins Beacon Community Bank as Vice President, Commercial Banker

Beacon Community Bank, Charleston’s new privately held community bank, announced that Dita Brown has joined the bank as Vice President, Commercial Banker.

In her role as a Commercial Banker, Brown will be responsible for managing client business portfolios with strategic growth-focused goals, conducting extensive research and analysis for prospective clients, and strengthening relationships with clients and the Charleston community at large.

Brown brings over 11 years of banking, sales and customer service experience to the team. Before joining Beacon Community Bank, she served as AVP, Business Relationship Manager at Wells Fargo.

She began her banking career in 2008 at Wachovia Bank in Mount Pleasant as a Teller and quickly moved her way up the ladder to become a Personal Banker, and then Branch Manager from 2011 to 2017 when Wachovia was acquired by Wells Fargo.

Brown received many awards and certifications during her tenure at Wells Fargo including Top-Producing Banker in Coastal District in 2011, Top Proxy Banker in South Carolina in 2012, Service Excellence Award in 2016, was recognized as a top two-percent performer in the company in 2014, and received 16 President’s Awards for Outstanding Performance from 2010 to 2015. Brown is also received ger Omega Commercial Credit Training and Situational Leadership Certification.

Brown currently serves a on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant, and was the 2019 Co-Chair for the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” initiative. She is also a regular volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and an active member of Stella Maris Catholic Church on Sullivan’s Island.

Originally from Kosovo, Brown studied political science and public administration at University of Prishtina in Kosovo, and has lived in Charleston for the last 15 years.
