title=1.  Contrary to popular belief, men’s dress clothes should always be comfortable.
2.  Your clothes send a message if they fit well.
3.  That message is a good impression, attention to detail, it says you care.

SO, why are most men wearing poorly-fit clothing?

Men’s wear sold in stores today are cut to fit as many men as possible, and that means big!

AND THEN,

Alterations, oh my, so the retailer has little incentive to tailor it properly, so it falls to each man to take responsibility for the fit of his own clothes and not to be swayed by the prolific selection of poorchoices, or the dubious influence of models, salesmen, and the oppositesex.

I.  What proper fit looks like – Pants
   a. Comfortable but not loose
   b. Pant should be worn at or near the natural waist
   c. Men with a belly should wear their pants draping from the middle rather than below the belly
   d.  Cuffed bottoms should touch your shoes’ uppers but not the ground, the break is then a personal preference

II. What proper fit looks like – Jackets
   a.  Should fit the width of the shoulders but not hang off
   b.  Should button with easy but not loose
   c.  Sleeves should be 1/4 above a proper fitted shirt cuff (whichshould be resting at the break of a man’s wrist when he bends his thumbup)

I constantly see custom made clothing being made for men in Greenville that DOES NOT FIT.

  •  The shoulders are too wide and have a thick pad (looks like your wearing shoulder pads)
  •  Sleeve are too long
  •  The extremes in the chest waist I’m seeing is WAY too tight and form fitting like a woman’s garment or WAY too loose and boxy.
