$3500 in Prizes to be Awarded in The Ponds Lowcountry Photography Competition March 30 – June 14, 2015

CHARLESTON, SC – In conjunction with The Lowcountry Photography Club, Kolter Homes at The Ponds announces a photography competition March 30-June 14, 2015.

The professionally judged competition is open to residents of The Ponds and to photographers from Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley and Colleton Counties. Both professional and amateur photographers are invited to enter.

Entries will be photos taken at The Ponds during the term of the contest. Complete guidelines and submission procedures are available on The Lowcountry Photography Club website. During the term of the competition registered photographers are invited to capture images of their friends or family enjoying the more than 1,000 acres of preserved lands, featuring walking and biking trails, historic Schultz Lake, and a picturesque restored Farmhouse.

Photographs may be entered in two categories: Lifestyle and Nature.

Prizes will be awarded.

  • One Grand Prize of $1,000
  • Two $750 First Prizes, one in each category
  • Two $500 Second Prizes, one in each category
  • Two $250 Third Prizes, one in each category
  • Four $100 Honorable Mentions, two in each category

Registration fee is $25 and covers judging and administration of the competition.
