Don Gordon talks about the Building OneSouthCarolina Forum and the inaugural Partners in Progress Award

On May 10, the Riley Institute at Furman University is hosting its first annual Building OneSouthCarolina forum and presentation of the inaugural OneSouthCarolina Partners in Progress Award. The award recognizes achievements that contribute significantly to social and economic progress in South Carolina.

The 2022 award winner celebrates the Spartanburg Northside Initiative. At the event, key stakeholders of the initiative will discuss the collaborative effort’s origins, successes, failures, key takeaways, and hopes for the future.

The Riley Institute at Furman University advances social and economic progress in South Carolina and beyond by building leadership for a diverse society, hosting expert speakers to broaden perspectives on critical issues, supporting public education, and creating knowledge through community solutions-focused research. The event is taking place in Columbia at the Metropolitan Convention Center.
