Douglas S. Schultz, Jr., MD joins Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery, PA

Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery, PA announced that Dr. Douglas S. Schultz, Jr. MD, joined the practice as of September 1, 2021.

Dr. Schultz completed his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, following his Orthopaedic Residency at the University of Florida COM Jacksonville. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC and received his undergraduate degree from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. Dr. Schultz is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Schultz specializes in joint arthroplasty and total joint replacement, with a focus in anterior hip replacement, robotic assisted joint replacement, and minimally invasive surgery including partial knee replacement.

A Columbia, SC native, Dr. Schultz is excited to return home and join our highly trained team of orthopaedic surgeons. “Over the years I have watched as Midlands pioneered outpatient joint replacement in Columbia. I could not be more thrilled to be joining a group of such innovative, dedicated, and skilled surgeons.”

Dr. Schultz is now seeing patients at our downtown, Lexington, and northeast offices.
