Dr. Rebecca Haviland and Brad Marconyak Join South Carolina Veterinary Specialists

COLUMBIA, SC – August 16, 2012 – South Carolina Veterinary Specialists (SCVS), a referral specialty veterinary practice, announces that Rebecca Haviland, VMD and Brad Marconyak, CVT, CVPM have joined the practice.

Dr. Haviland, who will join SCVS as an associate veterinary internist, completed her Bachelor of Science at Muhlenberg College and earned her Veterinary Medical Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed her internal medicine residency. She has lectured at local and national levels and has conducted research in hypoadrenocorticism and thromboembolic diseases. Her special interests include endocrinology and hematology. Dr. Haviland recently passed the certifying examination in small animal internal medicine by the ACVIM.

Brad Marconyak (pictured left), who joins SCVS as a hospital administrator and practice manager, brings 14 years of experience in veterinary specialty practice. He completed his Bachelor of Science at Gannon University. Brad is a certified veterinary technician (CVT) and a certified veterinary practice manager (CVPM), making him one of just a few people in the United States who hold both a CVT and a CVPM.
